Uca Transfer Agreement

University of Central Arkansas President Houston Davis and Arkansas State University Chancellor Jennifer Methvin recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a Bear Partners agreement. “UCA has always been an excellent partner and we have strong two-and-a-half transfer agreements between our institutions,” said Jennifer Methvin, Chancellor of ASU Beebe. “The Bear Partners program offers a number of benefits to our ASU Beebe graduates, including exemption from nominated offers and additional transfer grants. I thank UCA for its collaboration and for the opportunity it offers as graduates of ASU Beebe. The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information on the portability of courses at Arkansas public colleges and universities. In order to obtain important information about the transfer to the UCA, students are encouraged to create an UCA student account. For more information about the 2/2 program, students can also send e-mail requests to ucatransfer@uca.edu. The Transfer Success Center helps you learn about transfer options and helps you develop your transfer plan. The Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship reduces tuition for students who graduate with associate degrees from one of the two-year colleges in the University of Arkansas system and then move to the campus of the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville.

The scholarship will allow any graduate student associated with the AU Cossatot to move to the University of Arkansas to work a bachelor`s degree, while continuing to pay for the same basic lesson he paid to UA-Cossatot. UA Cossatot has signed contracts with a number of four-year universities (two-and-a-half agreements) guaranteeing the smooth transfer of associated degrees acquired from the UAC to the ceding institution. “We are very pleased to be working with ASU-Beebe on the Bear Partners program. Our existing transfer agreements have been successful and the Bear Partners program will further strengthen our relationship,” said UCA President Houston Davis. “With this program, ASU Beebe students have the opportunity to explore the UCA and participate in campus activities before completing a degree associated with ASU-Beebe.” The Arkansas transfer system can tell you exactly what UA Cossatot courses will be transferred to other Arkansas schools. The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information on the portability of courses at Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are assured of the transfer of the corresponding credits and fair treatment for the application of credits for admission and education requirements. The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) is a resource service for post-secondary institutions that provides comparable course information to facilitate student transfer to Arkansas public colleges and universities. The ACTS database contains comparable information on courses created by faculties for a number of courses taught in public institutions in Arkansas. Similar courses within CATS are guaranteed to be transferred to all public agencies in Arkansas. The UCA and the AU-PTC currently have 67 “2-and-a-half” transfer agreements, which provide a clearer path to an AU-Pulaski Tech degree and a bachelor`s degree at UCA.

These agreements allow students to easily switch to the UCA without losing credit.
